Your vision. Your home. Built around you.

Custom homes in Florida, built around your lifestyle, your vision, and the place you want to call home.

Whether you already own a lot and have plans ready or are just getting started, AMA Builders helps you move forward with clear guidance, personalized choices, and direct construction oversight.

From the first idea to the final walkthrough

01 · Find the right lot

Build on land you already own, explore our available lots, or let our affiliated real estate team help you find the right property. Before you move forward, we review key considerations such as buildability, utility availability, flood zone, and setbacks.

02 · Make your vision buildable

Bring your own architectural plans or let us connect you with architects and engineers we know and trust. We work alongside your design team to align the plans, construction requirements, and your budget before building begins.

03 · Navigate permits and approvals

We manage the permitting process, coordinate required submissions, and follow up with the local jurisdiction as your project moves toward approval.

04 · Watch your home take shape

AMA Builders manages construction under our own Florida contractor license, with direct oversight and regular progress updates throughout the build.

05 · Welcome home

We complete a final walkthrough with you, review your home’s features and warranty information, and help you prepare for move-in.

Your plans are welcome. So is your design team.

Already have architectural plans? We’re ready to review them and discuss how to bring them to life.

Still developing your vision? We can connect you with experienced architects and engineers who will work with you on the design.

You’re welcome to use your own professionals or work with those we recommend. Either way, we build from the plans you approve.

Finishes that make it yours

The flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and fixtures you choose help make your home feel like you.

Your proposal outlines the finish allowances included in your contract—a defined budget for the selections covered in each category. Our partner suppliers and showrooms give you the opportunity to explore materials in person and choose what fits your style.

If your selections exceed an allowance or require a change in scope, we explain the additional cost and obtain your approval before ordering or proceeding.

A proposal tailored to your project

Every custom home starts with a different vision, so every proposal is prepared individually.

Pricing reflects your home’s size, design, location, site conditions, and selected finishes. Once we review your plans and property, we prepare a detailed proposal outlining the scope of work and associated costs.

We also discuss the anticipated timeline, including planning, permitting, and construction. As the design is finalized and permits are approved, we establish the construction schedule and keep you informed of progress and any changes along the way.

Confidence beyond move-in

Your new home includes warranty protection with defined coverage for:

  • 1 year · Workmanship
  • 2 years · Covered electrical, plumbing, and mechanical distribution systems
  • 10 years · Qualifying structural defects

Coverage details, terms, and exclusions are provided in your warranty documents.

Building from a distance? Stay connected.

You don’t have to be on site every day to stay involved in your home’s construction.

We work with clients who live outside Florida and abroad, providing regular progress updates and coordinating decisions throughout the build.

For property ownership, closing, and legal or tax questions, we can connect you with independent professionals experienced in working with international clients.

Local experience across Florida

We build in Central Florida and select communities along Florida’s Gulf and Atlantic coasts, including:

  • Ocala and Citrus County
  • Greater Orlando
  • North Port and Port Charlotte
  • Tampa Bay and Pinellas County
  • Volusia and Flagler counties

Have a lot elsewhere in Florida? Tell us where you’re planning to build, and we’ll confirm whether we can serve your project.

We also take on waterfront and flood-zone projects, coordinating the site-specific elevation, foundation, and construction requirements.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a lot or architectural plans before contacting you?

No. You can contact us at any stage. We’ll discuss what you already have and help identify the next steps, whether that means finding land, connecting with a design team, or reviewing completed plans.

Can you build on my lot?

Yes. We review your property and plans to evaluate the proposed project and identify site considerations that may affect construction.

Can I use my own architect and plans?

Yes. We welcome client-provided plans and work alongside your architect and engineers to coordinate construction.

Can I choose my own finishes?

Yes. You can personalize your finishes within the project’s specifications and allowances. Any selections that affect the price or scope are reviewed with you before proceeding.

How much will my custom home cost?

Your proposal is based on your plans, property, scope, and finishes. Pricing reflects the size of the home, the market, the level of detail in the design, site conditions, and the selections you make. Once we review your plans and property, we prepare a detailed proposal.

How long will construction take?

The timeline depends on the design, site conditions, permitting, material availability, and construction scope — and permitting timelines vary by county and municipality, since each one runs its own process. We discuss the anticipated schedule during planning and provide updates throughout the project.

Can I build with you if I live out of state or abroad?

Yes. We coordinate project decisions and provide regular updates so you can stay involved from a distance. International buyers should review ownership and closing requirements with their legal and tax professionals.

Who manages my construction?

AMA Builders manages the project directly under our Florida Certified Building Contractor license, coordinating trade partners, overseeing construction, and keeping you informed throughout the build. The work is not subcontracted to another licensed contractor.
